Subaru Announces Pricing On 2011 Forester

by Subaru in the News on November 9, 2010

2011 Subaru Forester image

The popular Subaru Forester is known for conquering both difficult terrain and difficult-to-please customers, thanks to features like standard all-wheel drive and an approach to occupant protection that earned the Forester “Top Safety Pick” status from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. And if you thought the 2010 model was impressive, it’s an equally safe bet that you’ll like the 2011 Forester even more.

The new model year brings an all-new version of Subaru’s hallmark “boxer” engine, which leverages horizontally opposed cylinders for compact packaging and a lower center of gravity. The new 2.5-liter mill still provides plenty of pep, but now it also offers up to 10 percent better fuel efficiency. EPA ratings on the new Forester can reach as high as 21 mpg city/27 mpg highway/23 mpg combined, regardless of whether it’s equipped with a standard five-speed manual transmission or Subaru’s optional automatic gearbox. The midsize sedan segment is filled with high-volume monikers like the Camry, Accord, and the Altima. Playing on that stigma, Subaru has launched a new viral marketing campaign promoting the 2011 Mediocrity. [click to continue…]
